Frequently asked questions

What is GSTR-1 vs e-invoice reconciliation and why does it matter?

It compares the sales, credit and debit notes reported in your GSTR-1 with the invoices reported on the e-invoice (IRP) portal. Matching the two ensures every e-invoice is reflected in GSTR-1 and there are no missing or extra entries before you file.

What files do I upload to reconcile GSTR-1 and e-invoice data?

Upload your GSTR-1 as a JSON or Excel file in the GSTR-1 section, and your e-invoice data as the XLSX file exported from the e-invoice (IRP) portal in the e-Invoice section. You can upload more than one file in each section.

How does the matching work?

The tool matches invoices across both sources and shows reconciled entries in green and un-reconciled entries in red. A dropdown lets you view All Entries, entries present in both, entries only in GSTR-1, or entries only in e-invoice.

Is my GSTR-1 and e-invoice data safe?

Yes. All reconciliation happens locally in your browser. Your GSTR-1 and e-invoice files are never uploaded to or stored on any server.

Can I export the reconciled data to Excel?

Yes. After reconciling, click the Download Excel button to export the matched and unmatched entries as an Excel workbook for review, sharing or your records.

Who is required to generate e-invoices?

E-invoicing is mandatory for businesses whose aggregate annual turnover exceeds ₹5 crore. Each B2B invoice must be reported to the e-invoice (IRP) portal, which returns an IRN and signed QR code — so reconciling GSTR-1 against e-invoice data confirms every reported invoice is also in your return.
